

Dima Hussain, M.Ed., CCC-SLP
Dima loves working with young children and is dedicated to improving their lives by helping them communicate. She believes in an evidence-based, child-directed approach to therapy and brings innovation and enthusiasm to each session. She actively collaborates with caregivers to reinforce the crucial role they play in facilitating speech and language development. She is also passionate about working with families of diverse backgrounds, as well as underserved populations.
Dima is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for SLPA and maintains current national certification through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Emory University and her Master of Education degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Georgia State University where she was honored with the Outstanding Clinician in Communication Sciences & Disorders award for excellence and creativity in clinical skills.
Prior to joining Therapy Tree Services, Dima volunteered at The Marcus Autism Center and worked in the Atlanta public school system. She has experience treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome, articulation and phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, fluency, and expressive and receptive language disorders. She also has experience working with children who benefit from augmentative and alternative communication.
​In her free time, Dima enjoys reading poetry, hiking, and spending time with her family. This includes catching Pokémon with her daughter, playing board games with her husband, and snuggling with her pet rabbits.
