Macey Van Savage, MS, CCC-SLP

Macey is a pediatric speech language pathologist who is passionate about serving the pediatric population. Macey is committed to life-long learning to better help children thrive within their natural environment and help support families within their communities. She understands the importance of play-based interventions and is always looking for ways to empower parents through coaching. She believes that open communication and collaboration with parents are instrumental to a child’s success.

Macey’s experience includes working with children with autism spectrum disorder, Down’s Syndrome, cerebral palsy, childhood apraxia of speech, children with hearing loss, and other health impairments. She is skilled in treating expressive and receptive language delays, pragmatic language deficits, and articulation and phonological delays. She has experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and has adapted many different programs to meet individualized needs. She looks forward to continuing to grow in the area of feeding with Therapy Tree Services.

Macey received her Bachelors of Science degree in Communication Science and Disorders in 2018 from Old Dominion University and her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology in 2021 from Radford University.

​

In her free time, Macey enjoys spending time reading, painting with watercolors, playing the latest video games, and lounging with her two cats, Badtz and Punchy. She also horseback rides regularly and loves spending time with her Arabian horse Scooter.
