

Marissa Hicks, MS, CCC-SLP
Marissa is a pediatric speech language pathologist who enjoys working with young children. She gained interest in early intervention speech therapy when her younger brother received services as a toddler. Marissa believes in providing therapy to children and support to their family in the most natural environment. She advocates that all caregivers and parents have the ability to support the development of their children.
Marissa’s experience includes working with children with autism spectrum disorder, hearing loss, chromosomal deletions, and other health impairments. She is skilled in treating expressive and receptive language delays, pragmatic language deficits, and articulation and phonological delays. She looks forward to adding feeding therapy to her skill set in the future. Marissa appreciates the importance of collaborating with families to encourage development in speech and language. She is excited to work with families and other providers as a team.

Marissa received her master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Missouri State University in 2021 as well as her bachelor’s degree in 2019. Marissa has worked with pediatrics in the public school system since moving to the triangle area. She is licensed by the NC Board of Examiners and holds her certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association.
